If your child is ill and unable to attend school, you must let the school know by no later than 8:30am. You can do this by calling 01274 727 970. You can also leave a voicemail but you will need to leave your child’s full name, class and reason for being off. We may need to call you back.
Any child that has been sick or has diarrhea will need to be off school for 48 hours after the last time they were sick or had diarrhea before they will be allowed back in school so as to reduce the risk of spreading it to other children and/or staff.
If your child develops Coronavirus symptoms:-
A high temperature; a new continuous cough; a loss of sense of smell or taste – your child DOES NOT come to school and you must inform the school office straightaway. You MUST book in for a PCR test. You can book online or by ringing 119. Get a free PCR test to check if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
If your child has a positive test, you must inform the school office straightaway so we can take the necessary steps in keeping our school safe. Your child and your household will need to isolate.
If your child has a negative test, please inform the school and your child will be allowed to return once they are feeling well.
You can find out more information under the Covid19 – Keeping our School Safe tab.
